Welcome to the Girlguiding Bristol & South Gloucestershire (BSG) Website
Girlguiding Bristol and South Gloucestershire (BSG) is part of Girlguiding UK – the largest organisation for girls and young women in the UK. Our Guiding County is divided into 11 Divisions which includes the city centre, towns and villages.
We are a friendly, forward looking County and our aim is to provide the best Girlguiding and life opportunities for all our members. We preserve the values of Girlguiding whilst ensuring we remain current to the needs of today’s girls.
We give girls a voice in the modern world, listen to their views and provide fun and friendship along the way.
We enable our members to discover, fulfil and exceed their potential through a wide range of exciting activities they may not otherwise have the opportunity to do.
Our programme is designed to enable girls and young women to make a positive contribution to their community and make a difference in the world.
We aim to support both our younger members and our adult volunteers to go that extra mile to truly encourage them to ‘Discover’ and ‘Grow’.
If you're already involved as a volunteer with Girlguiding BSG then please allow me to thank you for all that you do for our girls. Many guiding opportunities wouldn't happen without very special people like you.

As I stand down as your County Commissioner, some of you have asked what next? I will be turning my focus to my unit, which seems to be growing all the time, returning to my Division who I have had little contact with during the past five year.
I have a new role as National Council Member representing the South West Region and of course the continuing support to the Development Workers Megan Crossley and Viki Gardiner, until their current contracts finishes in September/October.
Will it be strange – yes it will be, but I have been working with Maria Jenkins over the last few months so I’m ready for the 1st April 2016 – watch this space!!!
