Who can become a Guide?

Guides are girls aged between 10 and 14 years. A girl does not need to have been a Brownie to join. It is often advisable to put the girl's name on a Guide unit waiting list as soon as possible after joining Brownies.

Uniform

Each Guide chooses the uniform she wants to wear from the range of options available in the Guide uniform collection, which is a range of mix-and-match items. The specially designed Guide clothes are stylish, practical, economical and appealing to today’s girls. At normal meetings the girls can wear whatever they like on the bottom half, although ideally dark and practical is best. For more formal occasions the Guide unit may decide to wear a smarter alternative. Please ask the Guide Guider for details of your local depot or visit: girlguiding.org.uk
