Awards
Know someone in BSG who deserves special recognition of their achievements or contribution to Girlguiding?
Perhaps a leader always goes the extra mile for her unit, a commissioner or advisor has helped many girls, leaders or volunteers to shine in Girlguiding, or a young leader has shown exceptional commitment to the girls in her unit.
You could nominate them for one of our County’s awards!
There are several awards, each of which recognises different aspects of exceptional service to Girlguiding in BSG. You can find out more about each one, and how to apply for them below.
Non-members who have demonstrated long-term or outstanding support to BSG can also be nominated, for a Thanks badge or a County Standard badge.
BSG also recognises long service from members when they reach significant milestones in their membership – from 5 years to 60 years. You don’t need to apply or nominate someone for these badges as County keeps track of how long members have been in Girlguiding.
Awards are also made at National and Regional level.
