Marie Golding

Hi ???????? my name is Marie, and I am going to be responsible for Support for Girlguiding BSG for the next two years. The support role means I’ll be here to help with everything from GO and data protection to training and DBS verification.

A little bit about me.

I’m a long-standing volunteer, matured in various leadership and support roles at Division and County level. 

I’ve built connections through participating in membership experiences such as being a representative for 2018 in the strategic ‘Membership, Growth and Retention’
board, I’ve visited parliament, attended Region conferences, and networked with Bristol’s VIPs and sponsors. I was also a Division Commissioner for the last 5 years and a previous member of the Trustees board from 2016-19.

I’ve supported and led Rainbow and Brownie units in the County for over a decade and enjoyed organising section events and training for large groups.

I have an ability to converse with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Fully trained in safeguarding and understand importance of bringing a balance of empathy and confidence to sensitive situations. 

Fun facts about me: I enjoy socialising with family and friends, baking sweet treats ????, going on international adventures ???? and attending art and music events????.
